Masary® launches its first Mobile Micro Finance service in the heart of the Egyptian Delta PDF Print E-mail

Cairo, Egypt December 4th, 2008, Applications & Payment Systems Development (APSD) Corp.

Masary® launches its first Mobile Micro Finance (MF) service in Egypt and the Middle East with Dakahlya Businessmen’s Association for Community Development (BDACD).  This service is the first of a suite of Masary service offerings that will be rolled out in phases specifically tailored to meet the growing needs of the MF sector in the Middle East and Africa. This phase is all about enhancing BDACD’s ability to monitor their field collection process in Real-Time while giving them greater operational control.

"Masary's Real-Time services will greatly improve our ability to both manage and monitor our daily transactions as they happen" says Hassan Faried, Executive Director of DBACD.

Masary’s Mobile Micro Finance service is considered to be the first of its kind in the Egyptian Micro Finance sector that has been underdeveloped in terms of mobilization. The new service will mobilize the loan collection and disbursement process to induce higher penetration rates by enabling Micro Finance Institutions (MFIs) to fulfill their mission of reaching and serving greater numbers of needy people in remote areas to alleviate poverty.  “Technically speaking, the launch of Masary's service concept which enhances the lives of the masses is a boost to the MF Industry" says Magda Salama, MIS Systems Advisor USAID Egypt Microenterprise Finance (EMF) project.
